Childhood And Lives
Surprisingly, the Wright Brothers were very mischievous students at school; they also never graduated from high school. They grew up in a large family of five in Dayton, Ohio. Their sibling’s names were Reuchlin (1861), Lorin (1862), Wilbur(1867), Orville (1871), and Katherine (1874). Their father was a newspaper editor and a church bishop. From an early age, the brothers were very fascinated by mechanics and the thought of flying. Wilbur and Orville took over their fathers business of the printing press in 1889. Their father also spent his spare time reading scientific books and sometimes inventing. He even started to make a new typewriter but never finished it. Their father gave them small toys that they played and invented with. This sparked something in their minds and made them wonder what possibilities were ahead of them.
